We are Ivan and Tatiana Skufinsky — a husband-and-wife photography and film duo based in Vancouver, BC.
Photography found us separately, and brought us together. Now we work as one — two sensibilities, one visual language, one standard.
We don’t just document weddings. We read them.
Every day has its own rhythm, its own light, its own unspoken language between people. Our job is to be present enough to catch it — and skilled enough to make it last. We move quietly through ceremonies and receptions, often unnoticed. But when the moment calls for direction, we step in — not to perform, but to create the conditions where something real can happen. A glance. A laugh that wasn’t planned. The way someone holds their breath before the kiss.
We shoot with intention and react with instinct. On the wedding day, we are collectors — responding with our hearts, our reflexes, our eyes trained by years of attention. The real editing happens at home, late, going through 50,000 frames. That’s where the day reveals itself. That’s where we find the story.
Our images are warm, bold, and cinematically composed — influenced by painting and film, not by trends. Our wedding films are not highlight reels. They are structured, sound-driven, carefully directed — built to carry the feeling of the day, not just its surface.
Together, we can cover a full wedding — photo and film — without a large crew, without noise, without losing coherence. Ivan brings reportage, scale, movement, and cinematic light. Tatiana brings precision, tenderness, and the quiet portraits people didn’t know they needed.
